I'm still figuring out if I'll upload the other parts later or tomorrow morning.
I know you probably have to have some tolerance of child/fantasy stories to enjoy this...Even though I dislike the CGI - being a big fan of Studio Ghibli's movies, I think it's understandable - John's appearances and the sheer fact that he's doing all the voices makes up for it.

The voice of the baron is very similar to a voice John used to tell an anecdote on QI, though I can't place what it was about. I love when he appears on screen and interacts with the characters. When the baron is talking to Randalph, watch his facial expressions.

This might be my favorite part, I'm not sure, as I love them all. I do find terribly amusing that the shop keeper with the nasal voice says "sir looks fabulous!". The war bonnet of sarcasm...I wouldn't wear it either.

The original version of Jackanory had whoever was telling the story sitting on a chair with the book, as John is at the beginning. The detail of the mountain having a name carved on it is great.
I burst out laughing at that animation of John running. It's so silly!

Oh Sessions, why are you so adorable? Who knows. Yet again, I find myself greatly enjoying the moments when he interacts with the characters. I wish Jackanory would feature him every year, he's great at it. The last part of the story, when Joe gets irritated and starts talking to the storyteller is brilliant. It reminds me of Discworld, for some reason.
