Cal fell behind early in this game played in a hot, muggy Byrd Stadium on September 13, 2008. Jahvid Best, coming off a game against Wash. St. where he broke off two 80+ yard runs, had been held to just -1 yard rushing through this point, near the end of the first half. That's when Maryland's Kevin Barnes makes a perfect break on a swing pass. This was not to be Best's best day.
